Stunning looking calves to be trained as yoke pulling oxen

Brother Jim Droste brought these Calves to Nauvoo and he is training them to be yoked up to a wagon.

They are really stunning looking and quite tame.

A Little Project for a special occasion coming up before the end of the year

The Applique on outfit shows one of the symbols used on the outside and inside of the temple.  A Column with the elongated star that depicts the Love of Christ coming down to earth from the Heavens, Like a Child.

Lucas Alvin Burningham
An epic name.

Something I wanted to do while here in Nauvoo.

Snake Alley in Burlington Iowa

In Burlington, Iowa there is a residential hairpin turn that is called Snake Alley.  More curvy than any other street in the world, even more so than in San Francisco.

Cobblestone Street and it is over 100 years old.

Amish visit and dinner August 20, 2018

50 plus Temple missionaries went out to an Amish farm where they cooked us a fresh from the farm dinner.  They gave us horse drawn buggy rides and it was quite fun.
